Strong imagery, bold typography, clean and direct: these are hallmarks of my cover design. When shooting the covers, I am involved in all aspects from choosing the models, the locations and the styling. The cover images, reflect the theme of an issue and should compliment the feature article. When using supplied images, I’m passionate about adding my own twist, resulting in a cover that is visually arresting and unique.
Translating a layout into a relatable communication is why it’s crucial to successfully illuminate the brand, the product, or idea and successfully create a visual hierarchy that takes the reader through the story in an organized fashion. I study the subject matter, the images I have to work with or have to create, and that’s just the beginning. Colors and typefaces complete the story.
I have worked closely with clients to create ads and marketing materials, including sales aids, brochures, personalized magazines, and postcards, which required in-depth knowledge of their brands and goals to deliver the most effective messages of their campaigns.
